6 - 7 p.m. Socializing
7 - 8 p.m. Discussion

We all know it's important, but how do you do it! What does Virtualization really mean? How do we enter the Cloud? And what are the affects of your daily work habits on the Environment? Join 501 Tech NYC and Anna Jaeger, Co-Director of the GreenTech Initiative, as we discuss what Green IT really means. Following her presentation, Greening Your Nonprofit's IT: How to Save the Environment and Money, we will unravel the mystery and provide you with simple steps to reducing your nonprofits impact through the effective use of technology.

Featured guests:

Anna Jaeger

Anna JaegerAnna Jaeger is the Founder and Co-Director of the GreenTech Initiative at the nonprofit TechSoup Global. GreenTech’s mission is to help nonprofits and libraries reduce their environmental impact through the effective use of technology. His focus is on social media and the integration of these tools into long-term audience engagement and fundraising platforms. As a consultant in this area, he has advised a wide range of organizations — from individual artists to some of the largest NYC nonprofits. He is currently the Director of Communications & Development at a workforce development & job training organization, The Bookkeeping Center, and has served the arts community throughout the East coast in a similar capacity. Heggem is also the co-founder of Queer Art Impact which explores the intersection of politics, art and action and is interested in how technology has invigorated the opportunities for grassroots organizations to create change.

And... you! Connect with your fellow nonprofit techies in NYC (And as if all this isn't enough reason to attend, we're also giving away NTEN prizes!)
